Topeak Joe Blow Pro Floor Pump - $110

Phil Gallagher

This pump was tested for 18 months.

There are a lot of Track/Floor pumps on the market place and at some time I have used and destroyed most of them. Amongst my favorite items I have purchased would be the Topeak Jow Blow Pro floor pump. I hate the noise of compressors in bike shop's workshops. For this reason I insist that ALL tyres for repairs and new bikes have their tyres pumped by hand with Floor pumps. This certainly finds out the quality well made pumps from the pretenders.

For outright durability, ease of use and the pressure release button, this is a must buy. But when you buy this pump be warned - everybody will want to borrow it and tell you how good it is.

The Topeak Joe Blow Pro comes standard with the smart head. Simply explained, you can pump up both presta and schrader valves without changing anything in the head of the pump - it just knows when to adapt itself.

Just push the head onto the valve, pull the locking lever on and start pumping. You will immediately notice how easy it raises the pressure in your tyres compared to other brands out there. Once finished, push the pressure release button - unreal!!!! No more wrestling the pump end from the valve and damaging the end of the valve.

I have used these pumps exclusively now in my workshops with great success as well as at road, mountain and track racing - long lasting and easy to use.
